I left a comment on one of my posts about the fact that in the days leading up to the Lone Butte build an awful lot of vehicles were coming in our driveway, looping around, pointing and gawking and leaving without stopping.
It was starting to annoy me, so I put up the gate that night when the last one did a drive-by gawk at 9:30 pm and didn’t stop even when I waved them over. I really didn’t want vehicles coming onto our property when we were sleeping. We tend to jump out of bed and grab a big stick and call our vicious guard dog to investigate strange noises late at night. I wouldn’t want anybody to get hurt…
Since then a few people have contacted us asking to visit and expressing the concern they don’t want to intrude.
We absolutely do not mind showing the house or talking about it when people arrange to visit. Prior arrangements are best because then we have set aside time to answer all questions. Most times, we’ll even accommodate drop in visits –we are most likely to stop working if folks show up with pop or beer cans and wine bottles (full is most appreciated!) :)))
But occasionally drop in visits happen when we can’t stop working (concrete setting, paint drying etc.) Most people understand this.
So, do ask if you’d like to visit or help out. In a few weeks we will be into plastering and there will be an opportunity to learn alongside us.
